koneqted is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

koneqted provides messaging and location services to people around the world. This privacy policy details how koneqted collects, uses, processes, and discloses your Personal Information through the use of the app, its features, and third-party services.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Use, which is accessible at koneqted unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

This policy applies to all our customers, also known as the users of the koneqted app.  Before accessing or using our Service, please ensure that you have read and understood how we collect, store, use and disclose your personal information as described in the part of this Privacy Policy that is relevant to you.

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

Information You Provide

Personal Information.

We collect your Personal Information when you voluntarily provide it to us.

By Personal Information, we mean any information which can personally identify you, including but not limited to your full name, country of origin, country currently living in, category, photo, email address, telephone number, and email address.  You may also add other information such as a profile picture or change your username. The information that we request will be retained on your device and is not collected by the company in any way.

The app does use third party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Messages.

Your messages are stored on your device and on our servers for deletion at a scheduled time.  We may also retain any messages you send to us.

Location.

We do not keep the history of the places you’ve been to. What we do keep are your coordinates before you close the app. That’s what we show in the Last Location. We may share location information with third parties for advertising, research, analytic and other purposes. If you want to opt-out of the collection of your location data, please adjust your settings in your mobile device to limit the app’s access to your location data.

 

Customer Support.

You may provide us with information related to your use of our Services, including copies or screenshots of your messages, and how to contact you so we can provide you customer support. For example, you may send us an email with information relating to our app performance or other issues.

 

Social Media. 

When you interact with our site through various social media, such as when you Like us on Facebook or post a comment to our Facebook page, we may receive information from the social network such as your profile information, profile picture, gender, user name, user ID associated with your social media account, age range, language, country, friends list, and any other information you permit the social network to share with third parties. The data we receive is dependent upon your privacy settings with the social network. You should always review, and if necessary, adjust your privacy settings on third-party websites and services before linking or connecting them to koneqted app.

 

Automatically Collected Information

When using koneqted, we may automatically collect certain information about your computer or device through a variety of tracking technologies, including cookies, web beacons, log files, embedded scripts, location-identifying technologies, or other tracking/recording tools (collectively, “tracking tools”), and we may combine this information with other personal information we collect about you. We use these tracking tools to collect usage and device information, such as:

Information about how you access the Service, for example, referral/exit pages, how frequently you access the Service, whether you access the Service from multiple devices, and other actions you take on the Service.

Information about how you use the Service, for example, the features you use, the links you click, the ads you view and click on, location when you access or interact with our Service, and other similar actions.

Information about the computer, tablet, smartphone or other device you use, such as your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, platform type, device type/model/ manufacturer, operating system, phone number, mobile carrier, date and time stamp, a unique ID that allows us to uniquely identify your browser, mobile device or your account (including, for example, a UDID, IDFA, Google AdID, Windows Advertising ID or other persistent device identifier or Ad ID),battery life, and other such information. With your permission, we may also access your photo or camera roll.

We may collect analytics data, or use third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service and to understand more about the demographics of our users.

We use this information to (i) remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the Service;(ii) provide custom, personalized content and information, including targeted content and advertising; (iii) track your location and movements; (iv) identify and contact you across multiple devices; (v) provide and monitor the effectiveness of our Service; (vi) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, users, traffic, and demographic patterns; (vii) diagnose or fix technology problems reported by our Users or engineers that are associated with certain IP addresses or User IDs; and (viii)detect or prevent fraud or other harmful activities; (xi) automatically update our mobile application on your system and related devices; and (x) otherwise plan for and enhance our Service.

If you would prefer not to accept cookies, most browsers will allow you to: (i) change your browser settings to notify you when you receive a cookie, which lets you choose whether or not to accept it; (ii) disable existing cookies; or (iii) set your browser to automatically reject cookies.  Please note that doing so may negatively impact your experience using the Service, as some features and services on our Service may not work properly. Depending on your mobile device and operating system, you may not be able to delete or block all cookies. These browser settings that block cookies may have no effect on non-cookie technologies. You may also set your e-mail options to prevent the automatic downloading of images that may contain technologies that would allow us to know whether you have accessed our e-mail and performed certain functions with it. Although we do our best to honor the privacy preferences of our Users, we are not able to respond to Do Not Track signals from your browser at this time.

We work with third-party providers, such as companies and individuals, to help us facilitate our Services, provide Services on our behalf, perform Service-related operations, support and market our Services. For example, we work with companies to distribute our apps, provide our infrastructure, delivery, and other systems, and supply map and places information. These providers may give us information about you in certain circumstances; for example, app stores may provide us reports to help us diagnose and fix service issues.

 

These third parties have access to your Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

 

Third-Party Services.

We let you use our Services in connection with third-party services. If you use our Services with them, we may receive information about you from them; for example, if you use the koneqted share button to share the service to a friend via Facebook or other social networking sites, or if you choose to access our Services through a mobile carrier’s or device provider’s promotion of our Services. Please note that when you use third-party services, their own terms and privacy policies will govern your use of those services.

 

How We Use Information

We use all the information we have to help us facilitate our Services, provide Services on our behalf, perform Service-related operations, support and market our Services.

 

Our Services.

We use your information to provide customer support, assess and improve our Services, test new services and features, and conduct troubleshooting. We also make use of your information when you contact us.

 

Safety and Security.

It is our duty to verify accounts and user activity, promote safety and security among our users, such as by probing suspicious activity or violations of our terms and policies, and to ensure that our Services are used legally.

 

Information You and We Share

You share your information as you use and communicate through our Services, and we share your information to help us facilitate our Services, provide Services on our behalf, perform Service-related operations, support and market our Services.

 

Account Information.

Your phone number, profile name and photo, online status and last saved location may be available to anyone who uses our Services.

 

Your Contacts and Other Users.

Users that you communicate with may store the information that you share with others within and outside the koneqted app.

 

Third-Party Providers.

We work with third-party providers to help us in our Services. When we share information with third-party providers, we require them to use your information in accordance with our instructions and terms or with express permission from you.

 

Third-Party Services.

When you use third-party services in line with our Services, they may receive some of your personal information. If you interact with a third-party service linked through our Services, you may be giving information directly to them. Please note that when you use third-party services, their own terms and privacy policies will govern your use of those services.

 

Managing Your Information

If you would like to manage, change, limit, or delete your information, we allow you to do that through the following tools:

 

Services Settings.

You can change your Services settings to manage certain information available to other users. You can manage the search filters and your contacts to manage the users with whom you communicate.

 

Changing Your Username, Category, Country of Origin, and Country Currently Living In.

You can change your username, profile picture, category, country of origin, and country currently living in at any time.

 

Deleting Your Account.

You may delete your koneqted account at any time  using our in-app delete my account feature. When you delete your account, your messages are deleted from koneqted servers as well as any of your other information no longer needed to operate and provide our Services. Be mindful that if you only delete our Services from your device without using our in-app delete my account feature, your information may be stored with us for a longer period. Please remember that when you delete your account, it does not affect the information other users have relating to you, such as their copy of the messages you sent them.

 

Law And Protection

We may collect, use, preserve, and share your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to pertinent laws or regulations, or to government requests; (b) enforce our terms and policies, including for investigations of potential violations; (c) detect, investigate, prevent, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of our users, koneqted, or others.

 

koneqted complies with applicable laws, personal information protection regulations and guidelines of the State of Delaware, which must be obeyed by information communication service providers. This means that the laws, regulations, and standards of the state or country in which your information is stored or processed may be different from those of your own country

 

Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

 

Updates to Our Policy

We may modify or update our Privacy Policy from time to time. With this, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
